2009 Muskie Report
June 6 - Saturday, Fished in the Bay and hooked up on five fish. Tree Frog, Olive Crackle Frog, Blue Frog & Rattlesnake was the colors of the lures. The biggest was 25#, far short of the winners.
Sunday - Ran over to the Thames River, we boated 7 fish. Blue Frog Straight & Jointed, Rattlesnake took a few fish and Olive Perch again was hot.
Wednesday - went out in Anchor Bay by myself and boated two fish, Perch WB & Silver Carp - 15# was the biggest
I've been told that some nice muskies have been caught on the small Gotcha Lures. Perch, Rattlesnake & crackles colors. Please email me with some updates on the muskies being caught.
Wednesday - June 17 - Went out in the ugly weather and boated one musky in the Bay. I had two guys on the boat that put a flashing light in my lure. It looked pretty cool flashing multiple colors. Well the muskie thought so also, it hit a straight medium Perch color GOTCHA with the flashing light just before dark. Nice fish about 15#'s. Maybe I have a new way to activate that strike. Has anybody tried this before? email me about it.
June 24 - Went out in the middle of the bay - Got a 36" pike and a small muskie - both on a small straight Blue Frog "GOTCHA"
July 10th - Captain Craig Miller - Heat Wave Charters - called and let me know that he got six fish on Small Jointed "GOTCHA's. Pretty much the standards colors were going - Rattlesnake, Blue Frog, Silver Carp & Walleye. Most of the fish were in the high 40" class. Thanks for the report Craig.
